Certified tour guide for the Town of St. George, Bermuda

    Penelope receiving her certificate.

We are proud to have Penelope as one of the first to obtain the status of Certified Tour Guide of the Town of St. George. This was established as a new requirement for conducting tours within the Town of St. George–a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Keep in mind, this is only the beginning of our long journey to learn more about our home town and we look forward to the opportunity to provide wonderful tours for our clients. Penelope has is a native of St. George’s and looks forward to sharing her “backyard” with future clients. There is so much to do in Bermuda, or rather, so much to do in St. George’s and she will work to share this fact with all that she works with.

We toured the area of St. George’s with Penelope and a small group of passengers from the NCL Star. Penelope was wonderful. She had lots of local knowledge as well as things for tourists to do. We had such a pleasant experience delving into the daily lives of some of the towns people, the carpenter originally from the states, that made his home and woodworking shop right next to the ocean! To the barber that still makes a man look smooth and fresh in his chair, one he’s owned for over 40 years, but that warm Bermuda air makes him look like he is still in his 30s! To the fun story on Shinbone Alley!!! We loved meeting the Mayor, taking pics, and having him remind us all, that Mr Somers may have been known and well regarded in Virginia, but he was a HUGE part of Bermudian founding. We would highly suggest booking a tour with the lovely Penelope, you CAN NOT be disappointed!

We took Penelope’s tour. It was great with lots of interesting information both formal and informal. Also, Penelope is lots of fun. Penelope knows St Georges and its people.
